Thanks giving

I love to read everyone else blog so I guess I should keep up on mine it only seems fair. This year for thanksgiving we had 17 people at our house for dinner. My sister her husband and their seven kids, oh yea and there 150 pound saint Bernard. Also there was my mom and dad and four of our children: Emily, Nathan, Jaxon, and Chance. So it was crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy!!!!!! But it was great. I planned our dinner and worked very hard to make sure it was just perfect. I made eight pies the night before, got up early and started two turkeys, made home made dressing with bread that I dried and cut, and then made home made rolls. And at the appointed time for dinner, 3pm, everything looked like it was coming together just right and I asked my Dad to carve the turkeys and guess what, they were not cooked. I was sooooooo upset. But none the less two hours later dinner was on the table and for the most part it was great. Not perfect but pretty darne good for my first big family thanksgiving.

I hope that everyone elses turkey day was filled with as much family, food and fun as our was. I was just greatful that the food got cooked and there was no mutany. Have a great week ! Amber

TOFW

Ok for you who don't know TOFW means Time Out For Women! Oh what fun. The last two years I have gone with the four women you see in the picture. They are Rachel, Marilee, Denise and Carly. The little addition this year is Dalany (Rachel's little bundle of joy). The best description of TOFW is EFY for adults. We had great music and great speakers. This year on Friday night we heard from Chiko Okizaki (or how ever you spell her name) and heard a group that preformed from the Trek and Joseph CD all done by Jason Deere. I love it Mormon country music it is my new favorite CD and I have spent the last few days listening to it all day. Saturday was great also with Sherry Call singing (also one of my favor its) and other great speakers.

But I will have to admit that the high light of the weekend is the evenings spent with friends. When people as me how was my weekend I say great, we ate to much, slept to little and laughed until we had headaches. So over all it was GREAT!!!!! There is nothing better then friends that don't care what you ware, look like , say or eat and eat and eat. They are just four of the angles in my life. I have to many angles to name them all but lets just say I am blessed.

Wright family up date

Well it finally happened after looking for several months Chris has a new job. He is working for A1 Coupling and Hose. Though it is not his fantasy job it will fill in the gaps for our family the people are nice and he is learning quickly.
The rest of us are doing fine. The kids are all back in school and busy as ever. Emily is about to open in a musical"your a good man Charlie Brown". She is going to be Lucy. Which seems to fit her very well. She is making finale decisions about colleges. Life is changing quickly for Her.

Nathan is loving high school, I think. He is in the band and plays at all the home football games. He also is getting into theater. He tried out for his first play this week. He got a small part but this was his first try and as a freshmen he has lots of time. We all knew he would be an actor or politician????

Jaxon is in middle school and is fitting in there well. He is very proud that he has B+ and A's in all his classes right now. He works hard and is doing well. He is playing the the beginning band, which is not his favorite thing but Mom's are so mean he has to give it a try at least.

Chance is in the third grade. He seems to be liking this grade and is getting to be a really good reader. As always he loves his games and has even got Dad playing xbox with him on weekends. Dad tries to pretend it is torture but it must not be all bad.

As for me well lets see, work, kids, husband, church. That pretty much says it all. Someone asked me recently what I did if I had free time, after I quite laughing I said, take a nap!! Life is busy but we are very blessed. We love hearing from friends and family and we hope you enjoy our updates.

What we did for Labor day

we went to the Matolias River and hiked with My mom and Dad and Jaxon and Nathan. We had a really great time we took what was suppose to be a 2 mile hike but after running up and down logs and back and forth from the river back to the path we figure it was more like 4 miles. After leaving there we stoped at Shahlie falls. The boys ran up and down the path scaring me to death as they got way to close to the falls. But over all a great day. It made me remember that there are so many things to see and do right here at home. So a stay-cation (ie a vacation were you stay close to home) was very nice. We are going to do more of it in the very near future.
